Legal Requirements To Build and Sell Laser Taggers

Perhaps someone here has been through this and can help me here. I have constructed a manufacture-ready laser tagger utilizing the TSAL6100 emitter and am not sure if the gun needs some kind of certification prior to being sold to the public.

I personally doubt that there are any certifications you would need.  My company has machined their own brand of taggers for use in our arenas without any certification.  That being said, I think you would be better served by consulting an attorney in your area for legal advice rather than a pseudo-anonymous forum on the Internet.

Thank you. You're right, we do need to consult an attorney, but it is helpful to know that in your experience certifications aren't necessary. May I ask what state you are in?
