Lasertag system for your smartphone or tablet
« on: January 28, 2015, 11:21:44 PM »
The idea is simple as three rubles.
Bandana (one or more) and the tag (one or more) on the Bluetooth channel connected to the smartphone.
All processing is done on the programs you smartphone, which we write.
You can also connect to WiFi to a local server, and (or) on the remote to GPRS (3G, 4G).
You understand that opportunities are endless, and this feedback (notice of the defeat of the enemy), and even voice and video transmission.
The screen will display the game options, both the player and his team.

Start writing code.
With the tools to define - Qt, probably GUI on QML

I know how to implement, but I want to work in a team.
So if there is a wish to connect - respond!

Now we have to figure out how to interface should look like.

Hej, how do you plan to handle the program logic that is needed for the gun timing and sensing of shots? Do you wish to keep scoring/ammo/health on the gun, or on the phone? And do you think the program can respond quick enough to cope with, for instance, 10 shots rapidly in succession, killing a player - each shot needs to subtract health from a player, but quick enough (no delay in bluetooth connection) to enable a follow up shot to subtract health as well before you 'die'....

If the communication is too slow, you simply die too slow -> enabling you to still shoot while technically being dead...

I do believe that using the phone/app as a communication/interface is a nice idea, but for practical reasons you still need to keep some basic game logic in the gun/bandana?

Already tested practice - it works in conjunction bandana-tag

Well, if Atmega32 cope, what could not have done a smartphone?

When starting the game program will specify the tag main parameters - the number of partons, health, firing rate, damage, etc.

The communication protocol between the bandana and the program is already there.
But the protocol exchange between the weapon and the program must still work.

But all can be implemented 100% sure, I see no problem!

IR package certainly creates a tag!
And just want to redo a bunch of bandana-tag bunch in the bandana-smartphone-tag
