MilesTag Score LT
« on: November 30, 2013, 02:12:59 PM »
The MilesTag Score LT is a lower-cost version of the Pro Score system.  The LT software supports up to 8 players, allows full adjustment of score weights for Hits, Respawns, Deaths, etc.  Printouts for individual players and team scores.  Legacy and new Fast Download protocols are supported automatically.

Download the Score LT software here:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3549879/Score%20LT%20104.zip

This is the full software.  You can run the software, load sample data and print players / team statistics.  The "LT" version of the Score System supports 8 players using MilesTag taggers with firmware 5.42, 5.50 or 6.XX Standard.

The Score Interface Board is required to capture score data from taggers.  You will also need a USB to TTL cable to connect the board to your PC, and an IR receiver.  We will have a parts kit available in the online store (Interface Board, USB/TTL cable, IR Receiver dome).  The USB cable we offer will also power the interface board, so you only need to find a suitable enclosure to complete your score receiver.

No, the schematics and firmware will not be available.  The interface board acts as the "security dongle" for the Score System.  This way we can easily distribute software updates (and you can test the software ahead of time to see what it does) but it requires purchase of the Interface Board to allow it to work with the taggers.

Is it necessary to buy the LT score board if we want to use 5.50 firmware and scoring in old, fashioned way (hyperterm) ?

No.  I didn't want to force anyone into rechipping their whole system.  You still have options.

What you gain with the 5.50 firmware is:
1. Program Game Box V3 (Referee Mode)
2. Program Dom V3 (Referee Mode)
3. Receive Damage from Game Box V3 set to "Hazard"
4. Select between Fast/Slow score download.

Fast Download only works with the Pro or LT Score System.  As long as you do not enable the Fast Download, then you can still download to a Referee Gun running V5.42.

We will not be providing the source code for the score software or for the interface.  It will only be available for sale.  You can download the software to test it, but it only words with the taggers when you have the Interface Board attached.

I am going to "try" to add the "Lite" Score System to the store tonight... Basically we are going to offer the Interface Board, the USB Cable, and the Sensor separately or as a kit of parts.  The key component, of course, is the Interface Board which also acts as the Software Dongle for the Score Software.

Contact Hi Tech for current pricing on the "Pro Score System".  We did reduce the price this year.  Also, the currently shipping Score Pods are "unlocked" so they will work with any system (MilesTag, Hi-Tech, Adventure Sports).

Hey

Sorry for bumping old post.

I am looking at trying out the new scoring system, but am unable to find a store in which to purchase the Score Interface Board.
For testing purposes i want to try the LiTe version out to see how it goes, the software looks reasonably easy to use, just need the interface board.

Can anyone provide a link to one available for purchase?

Also is there any difference between the LT version and PRO version when it comes to the board itself? or is the difference in the software? because when i choose to upgrade from the LT to PRO, it would seem a waste to have to get sent another board if it is the same thing.

Purple Elephant1au,
Store is www.atlasir.com
The difference between the Pro and the lite is you do not get the box that it comes in you get board, sensor and USB,  The software is basically the same but you have a limited number of players you can run at a time.
email Joe@lasertagparts.com with address and info and you will get a quote for the scorepod and lite.
also you are running the freq of 38 that is not a common freq used so if you still want to stay with it AtlasIR will have to change the code to suit your needs and it might cost a little more.  email with the info and see.
