You will need the pic firmware from http://www.lasertagparts.com/files/sounds/uMT%20Recorder%20Firmware.zip
and a pic micro programming hardware. pm me if yis that  just want the pic with the recorder firmware already in it. The reason separate pic software is required is that there is not enough room for both the game and the sound programming software.

The hex file must be "burned" or "flashed" to the PIC using a PIC Programmer.  The PIC16F684 can be reprogrammed as many times as you need.

There are also less expensive options out there.  A google search should turn up some options.  Just make sure it supports the PICs you plan to work with.
