uMT recordin problems
« on: October 15, 2011, 07:23:37 AM »
Hi, I self-built a uMT board, but I have problems to record sounds.
When I connect to PC's Jack, if I Play sounds on PC they sounds good, when I record it the volume is terribly low. I've tried to record by using an amplifier but the sounds will be distorted.

Any suggestion? Thanks.

You need to use the Line Out on your PC/Laptop.  It requires some experimentation with the volume level on the PC.  Do not use the "speaker" amplified outputs.

The speaker you choose will make a BIG difference in volume levels.  The speakers we sell in the store are very loud, but I have also bought/tested many different speakers that are very quiet when connected to the uMT or CORE.  If you are buying your own speakers it takes some trial and error (and luck) to find small speakers that are loud.

Thank you for your reply, I'll try it soon.
Just one question: I've used a 0.1uF 100V polyester cap in the audio line (like on schematics),  maybe could be also this?
Wich I should use for Audio?

Many thanks!

EDIT: Solved! Was the ISD broken :(
