if it works don't fix it... best to run as is unless you are encountering problems.

The MAGIC is compatible with the latest version 5.64 and should work with previous versions the codes did not change, Only difference is name list. I will have to confirm that.  No you cannot use the standard 8X2 it is parallel not SPI.  I am looking for a sub or a workaround.  will let you know in a bit.

Magic boards are now on sale.   Yes commandIR will. E free as a download for magic boards as well as a few more.  Magic should be compatible with score system will complete that shortly.  Name the bugs in scorepod and will tell if fixed.  Sound programming will work just like micro and core.

Introducing the new MAGIC board.  Smaller than a CORE, thinner than a MICRO its everything you want in a main board.  Built on the MilesTag protocol and a New PIC18f2550 with USB for Upgrading Firmware.  This new marvel will save you space and give you more options.  Why waste a gun to run in Ref mode when all you need to do is make your own CommandIR to program them all.  Just build your box and flash the CommandIR firmware into the MAGIC and in minutes your on your way.  We are also including other Options as well. Core Compatible firmware, Micro compatible firmware, and a few more.  All in a single board.  Have a look at the Draft manual.
give some feedback and make your orders.  It's MAGIC time....

You could purchase the atom board for 39.00 a piece and use them.  Www.atlasir.com that would solve your problems in a hurry.

Purple Elephant1au,
Store is www.atlasir.com
The difference between the Pro and the lite is you do not get the box that it comes in you get board, sensor and USB,  The software is basically the same but you have a limited number of players you can run at a time.
email Joe@lasertagparts.com with address and info and you will get a quote for the scorepod and lite.
also you are running the freq of 38 that is not a common freq used so if you still want to stay with it AtlasIR will have to change the code to suit your needs and it might cost a little more.  email with the info and see.

You need the CommandIR or ask about CommandIR lite. CommandIR runs 400.00 but programs all.  You can order the small ir remote that may help you also.

MilesTag Micro (uMT) / Re: uMT V31 Firmware and Configuration App

You can go on pbp.com or micro labs and buy a pic burner. Then you can take hex files and burn to chips. Might be a good thing to look into. One that covers 12, 16 and 18 series chips.

Score pod is the way to go.  More ways to manipulate the information.  Check on the lite version you will have to put it in your own box.

FTroopShootist,  spark fun changed the firmware on the newer displays so the coding is reversed now. Jim is correcting the firmware for the micro boards and should be pushing that build as you see this. So look for the new firmware.
